do not give up

The Bible says in Galatians 6 v 9 “ Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up ”. One of my favourite films is Called ” The Shaw-shank Redemption ” My friend at work give me a film to watch called ” The Cinderella Man “. Both films had a very strong theme. About “ Don’t ever give up “. The Shaw-shank Redemption is about a man who was framed for something that he did not do. The Character in the Film was play by Tim Robbins ( Andy Dufresne ). In jail he was beaten, and ill treated. But he never gave up. He keep getting up and trying again and again. He never gave in, when it was so easy to just stop trying. He did not give up !. Near to the end of the film, Andy Dufresne, turns to his best friend ( Played by Morgan Freeman ) who’s character was called ” Red “. “ Red “ he said ” You can either get busy living or get busy dying “ My friend, sometimes as Christians, if the truth be told, we do feel like giving up. When the world has gone done us bad, when at times, we feel like we have had a beaten, and been ill treated. My friends, when we go through these things, that is the time when we need that little word of encouragement, that time of support from the lord. That is when as the famous poem once said ” My child “ Said Jesus, “ when you see, one set of foot prints in the sand, that is when I carried you “. Jesus lifts us up, his love is what carries us on through it all. If we keep chipping away, and don’t give up, our day break will come. Those dark clouds of discouragements and despair will be blown away, by the gentle, warm, loving breeze of Gods Holy Spirit. I heard the story of a old lady who had a little bird that could sing so sweetly. One day the old lady was using the hover to clean up. The bird cage door was open, and she accidentally sucked up the little bird, who went though the hover, it spun around and around in side. It came out covered in dust and distressed. Funnily enough when it came out, the little bird did not feel like singing much that day. My friend sometimes when we go through things, we feel like we are tossed and turned from one side to an other. we don’t feel like praising or singing much. But may I encourage you to dust your self down. When we feel like our get up and go, has got up and gone. Its time we got and and got it back. When King David, was at one of his low points. ( 1 Samuel 30 v 6 ). And some of the people turned against him. David did not give up. The Bible says ” That David strengthened ( encouraged ) himself in the Lord his God. We like wise, should learn to do the same. The Bible says in Psalm 103 v 1 to 2 ” Bless the Lord O my soul ; and all that is within me bless his Holy name. Bless the Lord O my soul, and forget not all his benefits “. Then ask the Lord to return unto you the joy of your salvation. So that, we may all experience, as the Bible says in Acts 3 v 19 says ” Times of refreshing from the Lord. Let the Lord put a new song in your heart Psalm 40 v 3. My friend, we have a choice to make every time trouble hits our tent. Do we get busy living or get busy dying ?. When we get knocked down, do we get back up, for Jesus and the things of the Kingdom of God ?. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians..4 v 8 to 9.We are hard pressed, but not crushed.. Perplexed, but not in despair.. Persecuted, but not abandon.. Struck down, but not destroyed. The Bible does not call us survivors, but the Bible calls us over-comers !. Great it is, to dream your dream, as you stand in youth by the starry stream. But a greater thing is to fight life through, ( never give up ). Then to say at the end, the dream came true. The Bible says in Psalm 3 v 3 ” He ” Jesus ” is the up lifter of our heads. Also in Psalms 55 v 22 ” The lord will sustain you “. Its about not giving up, its about perseverance. My friend don’t give up, in doing good, because as the Bible says, God has promised you, you WILL reap a harvest, in due time. If you don’t give up. You will come through it, our God is the God of the break through. Don’t give up, walk tall in Jesus, your a child of the King. God bless you my friend. Matthew.

do not give up on GOD

“Put your heart right, Job. Reach out to God. Put away evil and wrong from your home. Then face the world again, firm and courageous. Then all your troubles will fade from your memory, like floods that are past and remembered no more. Your life will be brighter than sunshine at noon, and life's darkest hours will shine like the dawn. You will live secure and full of hope.” (Job 11:13-18 TEV) If you want to remain free of bitterness or regret, begin to trust that God is actively working on your behalf, even in what appears to be the worst of circumstances. This is a matter of faith, where you choose to believe God is at work. With God working in your life and in faith: You can choose to accept the past. No sin, no action, no choice on your part is too big for God to handle or too big to be worked for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). You can choose to embrace the present. There’s no need to play the “what if” game. The past is forgiven and gone, and the future is in God’s omnipotent hands; you’re free to focus on the present and your job to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind. Martyred missionary Jim Elliot once wrote, “Wherever you are, be all there.” God wants you in the present, because that’s where his grace will flow. You can choose to look expectantly toward the future. Even if you make mistakes today, God still controls your future. Walking in the Spirit, you can live life to the fullest, without fear of making mistakes or stumbling into some terrible circumstance that takes you out of God’s control. Even when things appear to be terrible, you can trust that God is working out some divine plan through you. “We pray that you will be filled with his mighty, glorious strength so that you can keep going no matter what happens — always full of the joy of the Lord” (Colossians 1:11 LB). Trust God with your past and future and commit your present to his purpose. Then watch and see how God provides abundantly for you and through you so that you can express the joy of the Lord and his grace in your life. Talk About It What do you need to let go of in your past? What do you need to trust God with for your future? God ordained purpose

Dayspring Life Enrichment Seminar The vision of Dayspring Life Enrichment Seminar (DLES) is “to teach God’s people how to walk in the realities of the new order of things in Christ.” WEDNESDAY, 11 JULY 2012 How to Discover Your God-ordained Purpose It is the glory of God to conceal a purpose, but the honour of kings to discover a purpose Proverbs 25: 3, Sprl[1] The first step to living a life of success and significance is knowing and embracing God’s plan for your life. Making a difference in life starts with discovery of purpose. This discovery enables you to make better decisions, experience a sense of significance, and make impact. Discover God’s purpose for your life and stick to it if you want to truly succeed in life. More often, God uses non-spectacular ways to shows our place and purpose in life. God always gives us clues that are pointers to what we are born to be. 1. GOD gives us DESIRES – Phil 2:13 For it is God Himself whose power creates within you the desire to do His gracious will . . . . Phi.2:13, WNT[2] God creates desires in our hearts that would point us to His assignment for our lives. Knowing what your desires really are could give you a hint to your calling in life. 2. GOD gives us RESULTS – 1 Corinthians 3:6–8 For it is God Himself whose power . . . also brings about the accomplishment of the desire. Phi.2:13, WNT God makes us to get good results in certain aspects of life. This could be an indication of where we will make maximum impact in life. 3. GOD gives us THOUGHTS & IMAGINATIONS – Acts 7:23 And when he [Moses] was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. Acts 7: 23 Sometimes, God reply our prayers and efforts to discover our place in life by drawing our attention to certain thoughts that have lingered in our hearts. The power to imagine things is a great ability to produce success or failure (Mat.9:20 – 21; Gen.11:6). We become who we see ourselves to be (Num.13:33). Satan corrupts people by high jacking their imaginations; we must fight to positively use our imagination (Gen.6:5; 2 Cor.10: 3 – 4). The imagination is used to create things and bring them into existence. 4. GOD gives us ENCOUNTERS – Acts 9:1–17 God also grants some people to have divine encounters like Paul. Words of prophecies are also pointers to the purpose of God for our lives. 5. GOD gives us DREAMS – Genesis 37:2–11 Dream could be a night dream that God gives to reveal His plan to you. Also, it could a picture of your future which you carry in your heart. 6. GOD gives us GIFTS – James 1:17 God will never give you a strength that has no bearing with your purpose in life; He does not waste resources. Your gifts are your natural abilities which enable you to do certain things well and with ease. What do you do effortlessly? Where can your gifts find expression and influence others positively? Find out what you can do with your gifts. 7. GOD gives us DESTINY HELPERS – Esther 2: 5 - 11 Esther is an example of someone who experienced the power of destiny helpers in the person of Mordecai. Destiny helpers may be people who offer guidance and whose comments and counsels give you direction in life. For instance, some people’s remarks about your person and talent may open your eyes to who you were born to be. Others may be more powerful and connected people than you. There are some who help you to understand your dreams; some others are gifted in areas where you are not, thereby complementing you. 8. GOD gives us PASSIONS – John 4:31–34 When pursuing your passion, you are satisfied so much that you could sacrifice food and sleep for your passion. How do you know your passion? Your passion refers to anything that fills your heart with zeal, excitement, or enthusiasm; it also means anything that you are deeply concerned about. 9. GOD give us OPPORTUNITIES God will always give us opportunity to live the dreams He has placed within us. But, some of such opportunities will appear as challenges like the one David faced when he had to confront Goliath. Jephthah had a similar experience, even Joseph. Eagles use strong and contrary winds to rise up. Stop complaining about things concerning your past and around you.

22 secret to discovering your dream and living it

One of the most important rules of happiness in life is to do what you love. But discovering that dream job and what you are meant to do in life isn't always so easy. Take a look at the happiest, most successful people on this planet: they are all doing something they love, creating something they believe in, living a life of purpose and passion. Do that, and it doesn't matter how much money you make. But what do you do if you don't know what you want to do? If you don't know what your dream is? This is a common problem, and many people wander through much of their life without discovering their passion, and go from job to job, unfulfilled and miserable. If that's you, don't give up. What follows is a list of suggestions that will help you discover your dream, and start on the road to living that dream. They're things that have worked for me and many others I've studied, talked to, interviewed and admired. While you don't need to do every step below, they are all ways for your to spend time thinking about your passion in life, your dreams, and how to accomplish them. If you spend time thinking about your dreams, you are taking the first step towards making them a reality. The first step is to give this stuff some thought. What are your hobbies? This doesn't just mean stamp collecting -- it means anything you do with your spare time. That could be collecting comic books, reading about history, programming Linux utilities, writing on your blog, writing poetry, cooking, whatever. As it's clear that this is how you like to spend your time, and that you're willing to do these things without pay, it's very possible that these are your passions. Give each of your hobbies some thought, and think about whether they're things you love to do, and that you'd love to do for a living. What are your talents? It's been said that we each have at least one gift we've been given, and that the true purpose of our lives is discovering that gift, and sharing it with the world. There is much truth in that statement, and an important part of this process is discovering your gift. What are you good at? What talents do you have? What have you shown an aptitude for in your current and previous jobs, in school, in your personal life? Anything goes here. Who do you like to work with? A dream job includes not only what you want to do, but who you are doing it with. You should truly enjoy working with these people. In this step, you can name specific people you love working with, or types of people (creative types, programmers, entrepreneurs, blue collar, etc.). Use your ideas here to help you envision your dream job (more on that below). What do you like to work with? The tools of the job are very important. If you love working with computers (even a specific type of computer), that's a clue to your dream job. If you love working with clay, or paper, or people, or clothes, that's a clue. If you like working with a hammer, or a piano, you're off to a great start in discovering your dream. What environment do you enjoy working in? An office, a college, a classroom, a construction site, the ocean, the forest? Where you work is also an important factor in your dream job. When have you been happiest? Think back throughout all the previous times of your life, from childhood through adolescence, school, different jobs, different areas, different hobbies. Think about the happiest times of your life, and what you were doing, who you were doing it with, and where you were doing it. You may have dismissed some of these things for various reasons, but remembering that you were extremely happy during those times can make you realize why you were happy. Try online tools. There are some great tools online for helping you find your purpose. Here are just a few of my favorites: 43 Things: A great way to see what goals others have, to list your own goals, to talk to others about common goals, to get ideas and inspiration. Also see their article, How to Choose Achievable Goals. Dreamminder. A site where you write down your dream, and it will send it to you at some point in the future. Use their dream wizard to discover your dream. Read the dreams of others to get inspired. One Question: Take a test with questions to figure out your one purpose in life. With articles to help as well. List your top 5 passions. Now that you've given various factors some thought, and tried some online tools, make a short list of your top 5 passions. If you don't have 5, list as many as you have. Then compare your top 5 passions, and rank them from top to bottom. This will be the starting point your guide to making your dream a reality. How can you turn your passions into your work? Of the top 2-3 passions on your short list, can any of them be turned into your life's work? What professions use those passions as a mainstay of their work? How would you get into those professions, and do you think you would love what you do if you did them? Create a clear vision. Clarity of vision is the key to achieving your dream once you've discovered it. Take some time to think about exactly what your dream is, what your dream job would be, how you see yourself doing it, where you are, what you're surrounded by, who you're working with, what tools you're using, the benefits to you and others. Write it down, and try to make it as clear as possible. You should be able to visualize this dream in your head. The more real it seems in your mind, the more likely it is that it will become reality. Create a roadmap. Once you've clearly pictured your destination, what's left is creating a map for getting to that destination. Try backwards planning: what's the last step you'd have to do before attaining your goal? What would the last step be before that step? Keep going backwards until you get to the first step. Then focus all your efforts on that first step. Brainstorm. Sometimes there are more than one road to get to a destination. Brainstorm a bunch of ideas for getting there, a bunch of actions you can take to move yourself closer to your destination. Then put them together into your roadmap. Even if you don't have a complete roadmap, having a clearly defined destination, and taking the first step, are enough to get you started. Do research. Learn as much as you can about your dream. Check out some books from the library, do some web surfing, talk to others who are knowledgeable. Become an expert on the topic. How are others doing it? Find others who are living your dream. Read about them, write to them, meet with them. Find out what steps they took to get there, what's required, how they did it. Then use that information for your roadmap. Practice, practice. While you're taking your steps to realizing your dream, practice your passion as much as possible. Practice, of course, makes perfect ... and you want to be as good at what you want to do as humanly possible. This isn't an easy step, but it's worth it. Get inspired. Find others who are trying to achieve the same dream, see what obstacles they've face and how they've overcome them. Put up photos from magazines to inspire you. Read motivational quotes. If you're inspired, you will have the energy needed to get there. Get motivated. Along those lines, find motivation to keep you on your path. Motivation and focus are the keys to achieving any goal. What are your motivations? Making a public commitment, setting up rewards, inspiring yourself, tracking your progress, and joining a support group or finding a partner are great ways to motivate yourself. Simplify: one purpose. Once you've defined your dream, focus on it completely. That means you need to put any other goals on the back burner for now, and have only one purpose in your life. Later, you can focus on other goals, but if you have multiple goals, you will become distracted and lose purpose. Focus. Simplify your life so that you are keeping your focus on that one thing. Use a mantra. A great way to keep yourself focused is to use Guy Kawasaki's idea of creating a mantra instead of a mission statement. Boil your goal down to a few words. Guys' mantra: empower entrepreneurs. What's yours? Once you've defined your mantra, print it out, post it up, and say it several times a day. Set aside time each day. You will not go anywhere if you don't devote time to your dream. Set aside an hour (or at least 30 minutes) each day for working towards your dream. If you can do more, great, but one step at a time is all it takes. Set aside time either in the morning, or in the evening, or some time when you know you will do it every day. Make it a habit, and you will succeed. Pretend you can't fail. Imagine that you cannot fail, that you may slip up and fall, but that you will get up and learn from that fall. Take away all fear of risk and loss, and believe in your success. Now act as if you cannot fail. And by acting so, you will make it happen. Live as you want to be remembered. How do you want to be remembered when you die? This is a common method for deciding how to live your life. If you want to remembered for realizing your dream, then don't start on it when it's too late. Start on it now. Live your life so that your dream actually comes true.
