God ordained purpose

Dayspring Life Enrichment Seminar The vision of Dayspring Life Enrichment Seminar (DLES) is “to teach God’s people how to walk in the realities of the new order of things in Christ.” WEDNESDAY, 11 JULY 2012 How to Discover Your God-ordained Purpose It is the glory of God to conceal a purpose, but the honour of kings to discover a purpose Proverbs 25: 3, Sprl[1] The first step to living a life of success and significance is knowing and embracing God’s plan for your life. Making a difference in life starts with discovery of purpose. This discovery enables you to make better decisions, experience a sense of significance, and make impact. Discover God’s purpose for your life and stick to it if you want to truly succeed in life. More often, God uses non-spectacular ways to shows our place and purpose in life. God always gives us clues that are pointers to what we are born to be. 1. GOD gives us DESIRES – Phil 2:13 For it is God Himself whose power creates within you the desire to do His gracious will . . . . Phi.2:13, WNT[2] God creates desires in our hearts that would point us to His assignment for our lives. Knowing what your desires really are could give you a hint to your calling in life. 2. GOD gives us RESULTS – 1 Corinthians 3:6–8 For it is God Himself whose power . . . also brings about the accomplishment of the desire. Phi.2:13, WNT God makes us to get good results in certain aspects of life. This could be an indication of where we will make maximum impact in life. 3. GOD gives us THOUGHTS & IMAGINATIONS – Acts 7:23 And when he [Moses] was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. Acts 7: 23 Sometimes, God reply our prayers and efforts to discover our place in life by drawing our attention to certain thoughts that have lingered in our hearts. The power to imagine things is a great ability to produce success or failure (Mat.9:20 – 21; Gen.11:6). We become who we see ourselves to be (Num.13:33). Satan corrupts people by high jacking their imaginations; we must fight to positively use our imagination (Gen.6:5; 2 Cor.10: 3 – 4). The imagination is used to create things and bring them into existence. 4. GOD gives us ENCOUNTERS – Acts 9:1–17 God also grants some people to have divine encounters like Paul. Words of prophecies are also pointers to the purpose of God for our lives. 5. GOD gives us DREAMS – Genesis 37:2–11 Dream could be a night dream that God gives to reveal His plan to you. Also, it could a picture of your future which you carry in your heart. 6. GOD gives us GIFTS – James 1:17 God will never give you a strength that has no bearing with your purpose in life; He does not waste resources. Your gifts are your natural abilities which enable you to do certain things well and with ease. What do you do effortlessly? Where can your gifts find expression and influence others positively? Find out what you can do with your gifts. 7. GOD gives us DESTINY HELPERS – Esther 2: 5 - 11 Esther is an example of someone who experienced the power of destiny helpers in the person of Mordecai. Destiny helpers may be people who offer guidance and whose comments and counsels give you direction in life. For instance, some people’s remarks about your person and talent may open your eyes to who you were born to be. Others may be more powerful and connected people than you. There are some who help you to understand your dreams; some others are gifted in areas where you are not, thereby complementing you. 8. GOD gives us PASSIONS – John 4:31–34 When pursuing your passion, you are satisfied so much that you could sacrifice food and sleep for your passion. How do you know your passion? Your passion refers to anything that fills your heart with zeal, excitement, or enthusiasm; it also means anything that you are deeply concerned about. 9. GOD give us OPPORTUNITIES God will always give us opportunity to live the dreams He has placed within us. But, some of such opportunities will appear as challenges like the one David faced when he had to confront Goliath. Jephthah had a similar experience, even Joseph. Eagles use strong and contrary winds to rise up. Stop complaining about things concerning your past and around you.
